Tiny Devotional for Tuesday, 10-10-2023
A great good morning to all my friends and neighbors in Internet Land! And to family members who have dropped by, have some brand-name Cheerios.
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
Proverbs 10:11, NASB
That just may be the reason you find yourself lying flat on your back, looking up at the ceiling (or the sky). The righteous dispensed a bodacious amount of teaching, and healing, and all things sweet and kind, but you still kept playing the fool.
And so, IT’S CLOBBERING TIME...
...until you gain a bit of insight, and demonstrate that you’ve learned the benefits of cooperation.
That’s an ENTIRELY different experience than what happens when you hang out with the wicked. It doesn’t matter WHAT you do in their presence; someone is going to suffer trauma. It might not be you, at first; however, violence WILL find a way to bring you some pain. Usually, it is at the hands of the wicked, but it might be at the hands of the law; if you are exceedingly fortunate, it will be at the hands of the righteous, coming to rescue you.
Q: How do you know the difference?
A: Become a history student.
You’ll find remarkable differences between the history of the righteous and the wicked. The best way to predict the future is to pay attention to the past.
(I’m out of words.)
Peace be on your household.
